Our work
Fenix Farms designs and develops polyculture forest systems that collaborate with regional ecologies and economies to respond to the climate crisis with nature-based, value-added solutions. We work with land-based projects in the housing, regional development, tourism, and education sectors to generate resilient and adaptive landscapes that not only mitigate climate change but also innovate in the development and integration of perennial food economies, regional biodiversity, soil health, habitat, and watershed planning.
Fenix Farms combines 20 years of fieldwork and commercial design experience to create Adaptation Forests that increase the value of our clients' land in the short, medium, and long term, generating dynamic feedback loops between the forest's ancient ecology and regional economies through diversified, value-added revenue streams created in collaboration with the forest itself.
Systems Thinking + Regional Collaboration
We believe that the best projects result from a methodical and collaborative effort that optimizes project development and implementation while ensuring inclusive, systemic, and locally rooted systems as a qualitative and quantitative outcome. Each project we work on as a team involves both local experts and sector specialists, draws on a vast wealth of collaborative design and systemic research, and is field-tested before scaling through prototyping and active feedback from participants and collaborators, all in order to achieve the quality and impact we seek to enable alongside our partners.
Working with the climatic and ecological realities of each region, Fenix Farms partners with local experts, resources, and regional genetic biodiversity to develop regenerative forest food systems that revitalize the soil and establish polyculture production systems, while generating value-added local economies and ecologies.
Over the years, we've worked with a wide range of clients and regions to develop effective regenerative systems. We invite you to explore this small sample of our work in collaboration with the project network we're honored to be a part of. If you have an impactful forestry project you'd like to develop alongside the Fenix Farms team or as an affiliate, contact us here and tell us more about your initiative. We look forward to working with you and scaling change.
